The Galaxy S is well made and light, although a little plasticy, it is thin and feels good in the hand, although the samsung designers obviously took some styling tips from the 3G/3GS iPhone.
Out of the box the galaxy runs 2.1 android and this really sets it apart from most other choices out there. The super AMOLED display is great to look at and use, and the iPhone inspiration again comes through with the UI. Touchwizz has a definate apple feel about it, icon layout and left to right scrolling are all to familiar.
The inclusion of both the android and samsug app markets gives a rare choice of where to get your apps, although I can't help feeling there will be a lot of similar apps in both stores.
So in summary, great looks, decent specs and 2.1 out of the box, 2.2 already promised, and £319.99 pay as you go, the Samasug Galaxy S is well worth closer inspection.
